WJEC’s Eduqas Mathematics for Work and Life now accredited!

Our newly Ofqual accredited Level 3 Mathematics for Work and Life specification focuses on the needs and interests of learners and reflects the broad nature of the subject and its potential for enhancing development. It allows the development of a range of generic and transferable skills including mathematical thinking, reasoning and communication, all with a focus on real life applications.

This exciting qualification will empower learners to successfully negotiate mathematical and statistical problems that they will face across a broad range of academic, professional and technical fields. It will consolidate and build on learners’ mathematical understanding and develop the understanding and skills necessary to apply maths to deal with real-life problems.

Learners who follow this qualification will complete two assessments: an external examination and an internally-assessed controlled assessment. Crucially, the internal assessment can be tailored by centres to reflect learners’ current studies or career ambitions, thus building in a high degree of flexibility and thus relevance to the individual learner.

To support the teaching of this qualification, we will be offering FREE training courses which will be led by our subject specialists.
