6th Moving Image Awards Shortlist Announced
We are delighted to announce the shortlisted finalists of the sixth annual WJEC Eduqas Moving Image Awards.
The competition recognises inspiring levels of student achievement within the production of Film and Media. The awards ceremony celebrates the best work created by students aged 14-19 at schools and colleges from around the UK.

Commenting on the shortlist, Rebecca Ellis, Film Studies Subject officer at WJEC Eduqas:
"The first year of our new Production Briefs for Film and Media Studies has seen students and teachers rise to the challenge with some amazing creations. We have been overwhelmed to have received such a high standard of fantastic work. Huge thanks to everyone who entered! The judging panel had an extremely difficult task in creating the shortlisted entrants.”
Awards Ceremony
For each category, the work of the shortlisted finalists will be shown at the Moving Image Awards ceremony to be held in NFT3 at the British Film Institute (Southbank, London) on Monday 13th January between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm, where the winner of each category will be revealed and prizes awarded, amongst masterclasses with some very special guests. This will be followed by a drinks reception which all guests are invited to attend.
How to get your tickets - CANDIDATES
Candidates with shortlisted and highly commended entries only can apply for tickets. Shortlisted candidates may request up to 3 tickets. Highly Commended Candidates may request up to 2.
How to get your tickets – CENTRES
Initially, centres with shortlisted candidates only can apply for tickets. Register with the event on EventBrite. Due to restricted capacity at BFI this year, there are two tickets per centre available.
To get your tickets, simply register with the event on EventBrite.
NOTE: The event is password protected. Please contact enquiries@movingimageawards.co.uk if you have not yet received your password.
On Friday 14 December, the remaining tickets will be available to Centres with Highly Commended students. Please email enquiries@movingimageawards.co.uk to express your interest in these tickets in advance.
