Find out how our regional support team can help you

Teachers can still access a range of support and guidance through their regional representative, explains Hugh Lester, from the regional support team.

Like all of us, we in the Eduqas regional team are looking forward to getting back to normal. We are missing doing what we like best – visiting schools and colleges and talking to teachers. In the meantime, though, we’re keen to continue supporting you.

These are new times for all of us, and all of us are thinking about new ways of doing things. The regional team is no exception, and, though we can’t visit you in person, we can help you in other ways, for example online.

Online we can do most of the things we’d usually do on a visit, using whichever system you’re most familiar with. If you are already teaching our qualifications we can help you by going through past papers and other forms of assessment, looking at resources and exemplars, or, drawing on our own experience as teachers, discussing approaches and supporting you in other ways, particularly during this difficult and unsettling period. Or, if you are thinking about joining us, we can tell you about our specifications, assessment and wide range of online support, and put you in touch with other teachers and our subject specialists in Cardiff. Teachers tell us that they particularly value discussion of ways in which our resources can be used with students - especially at this time, remotely. They also value looking at the wide range of candidate exemplars we have on our Online Exam Review site.

We’re also running regular online support sessions on a variety of topics over the coming weeks. These are open to all teachers. Please keep an eye on Twitter for details.

And of course we can speak to you on the phone or support you via email as usual.

The important thing is to remember that you’re not on your own. We’re here to help. To get in touch, visit our page or drop me a line.
