Before submitting marks, centres must ensure that they have followed their internal appeals procedure. Candidates must be informed of their centre assessed marks so that they may request a review of the centre’s marking before marks are submitted to Eduqas. Input, Submit and Amend Internal Assessment Marks
Centres input and submit internal assessment marks via a facility on Portal called IAMIS (Internal Assessment Mark Input System). Secure website primary account holders (usually the Exams Officer) have automatic access to IAMIS. Secondary account holders can request access to IAMIS from their centre’s primary account holder.
Alternatively, internal assessment marks can be submitted by EDI. EDI files take up to 72 hours to process at which point IAMIS will be pre-populated with the submitted marks. Further information about EDI submission is available via the helpline on 029 2026 5169.
For both methods (through the secure website or EDI), centres will need to input details of each candidate’s teaching group directly onto IAMIS. The marks must then be submitted on IAMIS in order for the moderation sample to be identified.

Once a centre has submitted their marks, a moderation sample is generated, and moderator details are displayed on IAMIS.
Submitting moderation samples
Some subjects require the completion and submission of covers sheets and declaration forms. These must be completed for all candidates not only those in the sample, and can be located on the home page of each relevant subject.
Some subjects require the electronic submission of work using the Surpass online platform and/or IAMIS (our Internal Assessment Mark Input System). Further information, including the subjects involved, is available on our e-submission pages.

Moderator Reports
Centres can access moderator reports on Portal. Navigate to 'Internal Assessment', then 'Internal Assessment Mark/Outcomes Input'. Next, the choose exam series and then click the blue 'Moderator Report' button to download.
Moderator reports are made available on the day of results via the Internal Assessment Mark Input System (IAMIS). These reports will be available to view and download according to the following schedule:

Externally marked and/or externally set practical examinations taken at different times across centres are classified as Non-Examination Assessments (NEA).
Practical examination windows and deadlines are published in our Examination Timetables & Internal Assessment Deadlines. Our subject teams provide specific guidance on practical assessments during the year.
A consortium is an arrangement between two or more centres to offer qualifications. Candidates from different entering centres are taught and assessed together as one group. Consortium arrangements are only available for internally assessed Non Examination Assessment (NEA) units/components and certain externally assessed NEA units/components.
Centre Consortium Arrangements
Where two or more member centres will be entering candidates for work that is centre-assessed, the Centre Consortium Arrangements form on the JCQ Centre Admin Portal must be completed. This will enable the candidates for each specification to be treated as a single group for the moderation of centre-assessed work. Centres must notify us of any significant changes to the data on this form post-submission.
Centre consortium co-ordinator
The centres concerned must nominate a consortium co-ordinator who will liaise with the relevant awarding body on behalf of all centres in the consortium. If there are different co-ordinators for different specifications, a form must be completed for each specification.
In circumstances where a specification is taught at your centre, but some candidates are taught and assessed at another centre, the partial consortium form must be completed.
