New Level 1/2 Vocational Awards for teaching from September 2022
We’ve worked with teachers and other subject experts to review and update our suite of Key Stage 4 Vocational Awards, taking account of feedback received from you and addressing changes to Government and regulatory policy at the same time.

In developing our new suite, we’ve been careful to retain the elements of the qualifications that you’ve told us are important including:

We’ve also made changes to support learner achievement and progression including introducing mark-based non-examination assessments that are compensatory within and across units and expanding the number of grades available at Level 1 to provide increased recognition for learners.

We have also redeveloped our suite of Global Business Communication qualifications in French, German and Spanish. These qualifications will not contribute to KS4 performance tables due to the current DfE policy of not approving non-GCSE qualifications in EBacc subjects however they are available to centres in England from September 2022.
