The Preparing for Employment qualifications support learners to develop the skills needed to succeed in employment while fostering their interest in one or a range of vocational areas. These qualifications offer selection from a diverse bank of units focused on employability, in addition to a wide variety of units focused on different vocational areas.  From this diverse catalogue of units, centres are able to develop personalised programmes of learning to meet the needs and interests of an individual or group of learners.  Depending on the combination of units selected, learners can be awarded an endorsed qualification that indicates their learning in a specific vocational sector, for example: Preparing for Employment in the Hospitality and Catering Industry.

WJEC Preparing for Employment qualifications are part of WJEC’s Pathways to Employment suite of qualifications, designed to support learners aged 16 and over to get training, work experience and paid job opportunities.
